Oatmeal Raisin Beer Bread

After working a double shift yesterday I came home feeling restless, and when I'm restless I bake. We still have some of that pumpkin ale in the fridge so I made another raisin spice beer bread, this time adding oatmeal and more raisins. Yum. Great for snacking, especially toasted.
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup white whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
dash nutmeg
1 cup raisins
12 oz (1 bottle) pumpkin ale
Combine dry ingredients and raisins, then slowly stir in beer and mix just until moistened.
Pour into greased 8" loaf pan. Brush with egg wash, if desired (1 egg + 2 tsp water, beaten).
Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in the pan on a rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool 10 more minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
