Blue Cheese Burgers
blue cheese burger

I made these for dinner last night. Really good. The recipe is from Simply RecipesSimply Recipes and I've had it bookmarked for 2 months. The amounts I used are slightly different than the original recipe because I had 10 oz of ground beef.

Note to self: I didn't oil the grill grates and I really should have. I also should have let the grill heat up more.

10 oz ground beef
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1 clove minced garlic
1 green onion, chopped
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1 egg
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Combine ingredients in a medium bowl. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients together until just incorporated. Form into patties (I made 3) about 1/2 inch thick.

Prepare charcoal or gas grill for cooking over high direct heat. Using tongs and a folded up paper towel dipped in vegetable oil, oil the grill grates. Make sure grill is hot and well oiled before laying down the patties. Season patties with salt and pepper. Place the patties on the clean, well-oiled grill grate. Grill the burgers for about 5 minutes per side. Do not press down on the burgers while cooking.

Serve on buns with lettuce and mayo if desired.
