Chili con Carne

1 lb ground beef
1 cup chopped onion (about 1 medium)
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chopped green (or red) pepper (about 1 large)
28 oz can (or 2 14 oz cans) diced tomatoes
8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp cumin
1 15.5 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Cook and stir ground beef, onion, garlic, and green pepper in large pan until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans.

Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans; heat through.
